Curators of the exhibition: Sławomir Ortyl, Grzegorz Wojturski (MNWr)
This is the first exhibition in the history of the National Museum in Wrocław prepared by young people from this city, who take on the role of museum curators.
Around 70 works of art were selected from the MNWr collection, and the young curators wrote special texts to accompany some of the pieces on display. The exhibition tries to shed light on what are the thoughts, feelings and dreams of young people nowadays, and what they are looking for in the art from the past.
Among the chosen exhibits there are paintings by Olga Boznańska, Aleksander Gierymski, Jacek Malczewski, Jan Matejko, Witold Wojtkiewicz, and also a larger set of works by Wlastimil Hofman and Maria Niedzielska. The exhibition is co-curated by Katarzyna Łaszkiewicz.
